Hi all....yes it is my turn to lead a Legstetchers walk! I will be leading a most lovely 18 mile walk starting in Walberswick.
The postcode is actually for the village hall which you will drive past before driving along the stoney track with the narrow bridge to arrive at the pay and display car park where we will park.Parking costs £4.00 all day,so have some change handy.
As with all our Legstetchers walks, they are a brisk walking pace....not scarely fast but you need to be reasonably comfortable with walking 18 miles at a decent pace.
Anyone who has partaken in LDWA challenge walks, will recognise this route from the Flower of Suffolk. Having just recently walked it in glorious sunny warm conditions,i can thoroughly recommend it!..I am hopeful for similar weather on the day. :)
We will be stopping on route at various intervals so please bring plenty of food...sandwiches,chicken bakes, haribo to keep energy levels up. :) also very importantly bring plenty of water...we don't want anyone fainting....I'm not very good at the kiss of life!
If anyone wants to bring their pets, that should be fine....although snakes should be kept on a lead...or even better, not brought along at all! :)
Finally, there is a couple of options for refreshments afterwards to reward ourselves for our bravery...a nearby pub, also some very lovely tea rooms.
Hope to see lots of you on the day....if anyone has any questions/queries,please don't hesitate to message me.
