Are you a dog owner? If so, what breed(s)?

One dog only, first ever and best breed I could have picked. She is a Boston Terrier, 4 1/2 years old, a rescue from Marin Humane Society.

Where has been your favorite outdoor location to go with your dog(s)? Without?

W/O dog is Steep Ravine, with dog is Stinson Beach or local neighborhood hikes we can walk to from our house.

Does your dog enjoy long hikes, a lazy beach walk, "quick trips before going back to the couch", etc.?

Depending on heat/shade, Fig can go longer but her breed is single-coat and stub-nosed and over heating can be an issue so I always bring water and take breaks as needed.

How well does your dog socialize with other animals and people?

Very well although sometimes she (like I) can get a bit overwhelmed in groups and will stick to me for comfort. Given half a chance, she will give kisses freely, especially face and ears and can be a bit of a "kamikaze" kisser. She knows she is a small dog and lets other dogs know she is just there to have fun.

Getting back to hiking to reconnect with nature and what is important to me. Fig, our Boston Terrier, and I along with husband Steve (sometimes) do local hikes but I would love to hike with a group and explore new trails.

What chris is saying about this Meetup Group

Fun, they have been doing this for 3 years and know their dog-friendly trails!
