Wednesday, 7 PM - Buddhist Study and Practice

  • Apr 30, 2014 · 7:00 PM
  • Private Residence

Wednesday, April 30, 7:00p – 9:30p

The weekly study group for the next several weeks will help students prepare their minds for the upcoming series of very special teachings that our Lama Namnang Mingjo Dorje Rinpoche, the 68th Lineage Holder of the Nagavara Raja Rinpoche is planning to teach this year. These teachings will enable students to connect with the heart essence that existed at the time of Shakyamuni Buddha, and to have practical tools that will create very expedient transformation of student's body, mind, and life. These methods that our Rinpoche will be teaching are quick, powerful and a stable way to generate pure merits and virtues, and remove the obstacles, afflictions, and the negative karma.

For us to fully comprehend these profound teachings and begin to cultivate we need to prepare our minds in the upcoming study groups. If we want to grow a plant of our favorite fruit, we need to provide the right conditions for the seed to germinate. We do so by tilling the soil, removing weeds, watering, fertilizing, and providing a sunny space. Similarly our minds need to be prepared just like the soil to become open, stable, and peaceful for these profound teachings to begin to germinate. The study group is designed with methods provided by our Rinpoche to break our inner walls and make it vast and open to cultivation. These study groups are directed towards new students as well as those who are familiar with Buddha’s teachings.

Please Reply and RSVP if you plan to attend, thanks!
