Needs a location

We will be meeting at 10 AM at the Rt 948 Cherry Run trail head. Coordinates are N 41°[masked]’ W 078°[masked]’ The Rt 948 trail head is located about 3 miles SE of the intersection of Rt 666 and Rt 948. Look for the sign to tell you to turn left off of Rt 948 to get to the NCT trail head.

We’ll be working along the trail in each direction. To the north of Rt 948 there are a few wet areas that need drainage work and some clearing can be done. Heading south there is a spot where we will be building a small bridge and clearing some multifloral rose. We are also hoping to be able to remove some abandoned oil/gas lines that cross and parallel the trail. Finally, we can add kiosk map panels to a few more trail heads in the area.

Remember that “many hands make light work”. We invite all interested hikers to come out and enjoy a day in the woods! All you need to bring is appropriate clothing for the weather, water, lunch, and work gloves. All tools are provided, and no special skills are required. Anyone can help improve the trail, no matter your abilities. Hope to see you there!
