What we're about

This group is open to North County San Diego and Temecula/Murrieta residents only.

Sharon & Hal enjoy all types of food and are looking for others who will join us for dinner parties where we all participate in the fun. We'll take turns hosting supper club dinner parties where everyone searches cookbooks/internet for dishes to share for our themed dinner parties. We'd like to keep each event at about 8-10 people, and we are looking for both couples and singles.

Interested in Russian food? Thai food? Peruvian food? Ethiopian food? Add some really great music from whatever area we're exploring?

Let's get together and form this Supper Club into a group we'll all really enjoy. We personally love something as simple as throwing a great steak on the grill or putting together some spicy Indian curries or a fragrant Thai dish. We'd love to explore other cuisines suggested by our other Foodies. Let's explore the world through food.

It would be nice to pair our foods with some great wines or, because we're in a great craft brew area, a terrific selection of beers. And we always enjoy a well-put-together craft cocktail.

Let's do this!

SUSPENDED: Welcoming Spring

Needs a location

This Supper Club will take place in a private home at Lake San Marcos.

April's theme is welcoming Spring. We will bring dishes inspired by springtime! Awakening from our long winter slumber, think about all the possibilities -- spring lamb, spring chicken, spring bunnies (rabbit), spring onions, fresh eggs, baby peas, ramps, baby asparagus, baby arugula, artichokes and so much more! 9 Things You Need To Eat This Spring: https://www.foodnetwork.com/fn-dish/recipes/2018/03/9-things-you-need-to-eat-this-spring

As always, when you've come up with the perfect dish, post it so we'll have no duplicates. PLEASE READ ALL COMMENTS OF WHAT OTHERS ARE BRINGING; WE'VE HAD MANY DUPLICATES OF DISHES RECENTLY. Also, remember that these are dishes we research, prepare, and share, preferably not store bought. After all, this is a Supper Club where we make food to share.

IF you RSVP "Yes", change your mind, and do not change your RSVP to "No", you will be deleted from the group. We often have a Waitlist, plus our hosts arrange for the number of guests who have RSVP'd "Yes" and a no-show is insensitive to the host.

ALSO, if you are RSVP'ing for yourself and a "plus one", make sure there are enough spots for both of you.

ALSO, please come prepared with all platters & serving utensils you need to serve your dish.

Stay hungry!

SUSPENDED: Flavors of Mexico by Region

1142 Rancho Ryan Rd

This Supper Club will take place at our home in Fallbrook.

Mexico’s cuisine is incredibly diverse and differs from region to region. In fact, it was declared a UNESCO Patrimony of Humanity in 2010.
Discover the signature dishes of seven regions in Mexico!

From the Yucatan peninsula in southeast Mexico (heavily influenced by Mayan, Spanish, and Lebanese cuisines) to Oaxaca (often hailed the gastronomic center of Mexico) to the Baja California peninsula (distinctive cuisine largely influenced by the sea and our nearest neighbor) to Puebla (a "new" Spanish Colonial area well known for its Talavera ceramics and active volcano Popocatépet) to Northern Mexico [El Norte] (a loose geographical region comprised of nine states including Sonora, Chihuahua, and Nuevo León, a cowboy/vaquero culture) to Veracruz (influences from Spain and pre-colonial Mexico and known for beautiful beaches and Carnaval) to the western state of Jalisco (birthplace of mariachi, tequila and Mexico's national sport, charreria, Mexican rodeo).

Let's each choose a different region to explore the cuisines of Mexico, a little late for Cinco de Mayo but still worth celebrating.
