Join the North Denver chapter of CCL at the lively Highlands coffee shop/wine bar/bookstore and wonderful meeting place: BookBar. We will be tucked away in the back room furiously writing letters to Congress about climate change. We tell them how we feel about the immediate need to cut carbon emissions – a major contributing factor to global warming. If the world's coffee crop is in danger... well... that's getting personal. Aside from face-to-face meetings, hand-written letters are the next best way to reach out to Congress.
Every day there is more news about the impact of climate change. Hurricane Matthew is a good example. Material will be available from which to choose your topic, as well as all the writing paper and pens. All you need to do is show up, grab a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, and start writing.
