It's been a long winter, and it's started to make a lot of people I know a little bit anti-social!! So, why not encourage spring to come our way with a wee bit of Irish spirit (or spirits, if you're so inclined!)?

"Fadó (pronounced fuh-doe) is an Irish term meaning 'long ago'. At fadó we are telling the tale of Ireland's rich and celebrated Pub culture - a culture of hearty food and drink, good music, warm hospitality and friendly banter.

Fadó was designed and manufactured completely in Ireland and then brought to Atlanta for installation.

The food at fadó goes well beyond your typical 'pub grub'. We use only high quality ingredients and a from-scratch menu to bring our customers Irish favorites, American standards and a number of original dishes that you can only get at fadó.

We're known for a great place to have a few bites over drinks with friends and the place that works for everyone when it comes to dinner out. We look forward to showing you why we say at fadó there are no strangers, only friends you haven't met yet."

Our reservation is for 7:30, so we recommend being there around 7:20. Parking is located just behind the restaurant for a nominal fee (I believe it was $3). We'll do drinks and dinner and unwind a bit.

For those looking to dance and drink, around 10:30 every Friday night, Fado's becomes a singles' hotspot, typically catering to the upscale professional crowd in their 20's and 30's. The DJ is on the first level, and there is also a rooftop bar and smoking area at the top of the building that's great for mingling.

However, if you're looking for more of an eclectic theme, a group of us will be leaving to attend our friend Oni's birthday party at The Shelter (about two miles down the road.) around 10 PM. All are welcome; parking is free, but cover is $10. The evening's theme is "Gods & Goddesses" (costumes are completely optional.)

We've had quite a few events at Fado over the years, and they're always a wonderful way to get to know a new crowd of people, make new friends, and see a new side of Atlanta. This is a very newbie-friendly event, since there will be something for everyone.

Please be mindful of the RSVP policy. I do not know what it is for this group, but please do not no-show! Looking forward to seeing you there!!
