What we're about
Learn fun, old, dances of the 60s & 70s to Soul & Funk records from the era. We dance SockHoP style. Learn the mash potatoes, Do the boogaloo, the horse, the pony, the Monkey, camel walk, & various bops in aerobic-style routines, set to old classic jams. Bring a towel, because we sweat. It is an exercise class. More info available at www.FUNKACIZE.com. We continue FUNKACIZE FRIDAYS during May, at 8PM (1hr.) Arrive early to sign waiver (which stays on file). Class is $10 cash. Free parking on street. It's recommended to wear 2 or 3 pair of thick socks to cushion feet (no-grip bottoms). We bop & slop-bop. Wear work-out clothing. We dance to The Temptations, James Brown/Prince/Rick James/Gap Band, & the like. Be prepared to have fun. Bring the family or guests from out of town. All ages, cultures, & genders are welcome. No skills necessary. Just a desire to dance to some good ole funky soul music. This is a recreational class.
