When did you start playing games? Is it a longtime hobby, a renewal, or a new interest?

I played with my family growing up, but married into a family of non-gamers. :-) So I am rusty on some games. I am excited about meeting new friends in the area.

What are your current favorite board games? What "new" games are you looking forward to playing?

I discovered Settlers of Catan. I love it, and I want to improve. I am open to learning new games. A new favorite of mine is TICHU, a four player card game with Chinese origins. I enjoy teaching TICHU to new players. :-)

What type board games are you most interested in playing (Euro-style, strategy, abstract, trivia, word, party/team) or do you like to play a variety of games? Does this include card, tile, dice, etc? If so, which ones?

I am learning a lot of fun new games with this group! Everyone brings a variety of games, so it's a great way to try out new games to see which ones you like best! Having attended over 100 meetups now, I should start a list of all the new games I have tried!

Which local and/or online stores get your "Gaming Gold" (aka "your money")? Do you purchase mostly from online sites, local gaming stores, major retail stores, private/individuals or through resale?

I have Settlers of Catan, Tichu, Ticket to Ride, and several others, so I enjoy having some new friends to play! I am patient and willing to teach it. I am still a beginner. This is a great game for 3 to 4 players.

BoardGameGeek is a Great online resource for game info! BGG is NOT a store, it is a Resource for info. If you have a profile on BoardGameGeek.com, what is it? If you don't have one, why not go and create it now @ http://www.boardgamegeek.com

I refer to it often! They have an answer for everything, about every game. :-)

Introduction

I love board games, so I started hosting a game day in The Woodlands every Wednesday, noon to 9 pm.
