Let's take a trip and try our skills at shooting the sunset over Lake George, then the Milky Way! One of the easiest astrophotography subjects to capture is also one of the most impressive: the Milky Way Galaxy. We will meet on the dock at the end of Ninemile Point Rd, Pierson FL 32180. There is a parking area and a portapotty! For those who wish to carpool please list in the comment section what part of town you live and you can carpool amongst yourselves. I live in Argyle Forest and can take 2 more people in m car if interested.
If you use google maps, add another 15 minutes to your drive time. Ninemile Point Rd is 4 miles of bumpy road and it takes 15 minutes of slow driving to get to the end. Park in the lot marked "Lake George Forest Wildlife Management Area ". Be sure to bring bug spray and cover yourself in it. The bugs are bad. There are benches to sit down on and get your gear together at the dock.

Our mission at NJPM is to host photography events mainly held north of the St Johns River covering North Jax, Yulee, Fernandina, Callahan, and Hilliard areas. Not all events will be held in that area but we will strive to provide many. Events providing fun opportunities to broaden your skill set in all areas of photography. We will learn tips and tricks, lighting and other seminars, post editing techniques, as well as share portfolios with each other for critiques etc. We are an interactive learning group dedicated to sharing information amongst each other in the quest to improve our photographic skills in an informal relaxed family oriented atmosphere. We are always open to constructive suggestions by our members for locations and learning purpose of events. Member needs and input will guide the club. All skill levels and cameras welcome-especially beginners wishing to learn and those wishing to share knowledge. Plenty of great photographic opportunities between the zoo and the St Mary's river. No membership fees and we will strive to provide free events while still being open to professional photographers posting their own non NJPM sanctioned events for your consideration. Aspiring beginner models and fashion bloggers (19+) welcome on trade for pics basis.
