What we're about

With social media and a constant cycle of information, we rarely get the full story of what happened. We rely on small blurbs in a Facebook post, 140 characters on Twitter, or someone regurgitating what they heard from someone else who only read the headline. This leads us to be uninformed, misled, and making judgments we shouldn't. Unfortunately, this is what has happened with the Bible. We rely on other people telling us what is written, instead of reading it ourselves. The purpose of this Meetup is to encourage those interested, to open up their Bible and see what it is that God has written for us to know. We are not associated with any particular denomination or group, we're just people that want to know God's Word. There's no better way to do that than by opening up the scriptures and reading for ourselves.
