What we're about

Founded in 2018, this co-ed book club is for over-18 adults who enjoy reading and discussing all kinds of books. We read one book a month and meet on the fourth Sunday of the month at 10:30 a.m. to discuss that month's selection and to enjoy a potluck brunch. Choosing what we read is a democratic process and is conducted every 6 - 12 months. At selection time, all members are encouraged to recommend books they would like the group to read (by posting titles in the comments section of our meet up), and then attendees vote and select a variety of books from the list. This group was started by a group of people new to the Wakefield-Lynnfield area who found each other on nextdoor.com, but is open to all.

Discussion of "The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell" by Robert Dugoni

Carrie and Dean Shapley's home

• What we'll do Share a potluck brunch, discuss this month's book selection, and socialize. We convene at 10:30 a.m. and eat at 11:00 a.m. • What to bring A brunchy dish to share (please bring something ready-to-eat or a dish that can cook/re-heat in 30 minutes or less). • Important to know You need not have read this month's book to attend the meeting. However, it is a book club, so attendees who have read the book will discuss it in its entirety. Therefore, if you opt out of reading, the meeting will likely be like a live-action Cliff Notes. We meet at the home of Carrie and Dean Shapley -- a big red house with angled parking on the driveway. It's the last house of the neighborhood, next to United Van Lines. Additional parking is available at the catering business across the street.
