Indoor pickup soccer at the HP Fieldhouse "Dome"

Updated time based on additional info -- we should plan to arrive around 5:15, as someone should be there around that time to open the Dome if it is not already open based on earlier usage.

People do not need to RSVP to each week's meetup -- but I will be polling everyone for some additional dates during the holidays to see if there is enough interest in some additional games.

----

All-

We have been offered by the Park District of Highland Park to play pickup soccer on Sundays through January at the HP Fieldhouse "Dome".  Cost is $10 per night payable upon arrival.  Please plan on arriving around 5:15pm (although technically our timeslot is 5:30-6:30) so that we can get started by 5:30pm as the game(s) must end at 6:30 promptly.  I will update the time of this in the future if this changes.

The Dome is a very nice facility, and it can accommodate 1 full-size field or 2 smaller fields supporting 7-on-7 or 8-on-8.   We will try to run the smaller-sided games when possible and not play with too many players on a full size field.

Bring both a dark shirt and a white shirt (please no gray shirts), and cleats and shinguards are recommended. Either indoor soccer shoes or outdoor soccer cleats are allowed (just clean them off if they are outdoor cleats).

These games are meant to be recreational -- so let's keep extreme competitiveness and extreme physical play to a minimum (in an effort to minimize injuries).  Also we like these games to be evenly matched so we may ask people to switch teams if needed.

Additional parking is available below the main lot if needed.  Let me know if you have any questions.

What is the earliest we can show up this week? Usually the doors are locked but I like to stretch and warm up before hand. Also will we ever do smaller sided teams if we have too many or a few people going? Thanks

They are supposed to be there at 5:15. We should do smaller sided games when possible, as it gets everyone more involved.

How well will outdoor cleats work on the turf?
