Vernon Street Studios
Located in an historic 19th century brick industrial building, Vernon Street housed the first group of artists to open their studios to the public in 1975. The Open Studios event allows attendees to learn about the creative process, interact with artists in the spaces where they create, purchase original artwork, and discover new talent. The studios are located in the Rogers Foam facility, which is comprised of two buildings on the corner of Central and Vernon Streets. Parking is available in the large lot behind the buildings.
Elsewhere Updated May 1
The weekend weather is forecasted to be beautiful. Let's plan to meander downhill on Highland Ave toward Davis Sq and stop in at artist locations along the way. We can take the free trolley back to our cars.
Dinner Updated May 1
A short (2 miles) drive away is The Greek Corner on Mass Ave in Cambridge. It's casual, often loud, the food is always good and its reasonably priced. They have burgers and other non-Greek food as well. Take a look at the menu if you need help deciding about dinner:
I'd encourage attendees to find others who live in their town or nearby and carpool.
Parking is available on the street or in the large lot behind the buildings.
