Beginner Flight Training Courses
Hello from the Red Rocker,
I am a FAA Certified Drone Pilot and been flying for over 2 years. I am not a licensed drone instructor but would like to share what I’ve learned.
Beginner Flight Training Courses is a good way to meet other pilots and practice the basics. This class is free and will consist of but not limited to the following:
· Take off / landing on a landing pad. (Landing pad supplied)
· Use of Return to Home / Setting Return to Home location. Return to Home Settings.
· Low fly circle formations.
· Low Fly right to left, forward and backward and in reverse with cone obstacle course.
· Using Spotlight Pro on Targets Two benches and concrete column is on location. (Volunteers needed for moving targets)
· Hoovering. Keeping the rear toward you.
· Recovery from sight.
· Safe Flight Practices.
This class is catered for beginner drone pilots. “A beginner drone pilot is typically a person that may or may not have purchased a drone but are serious about flying one. This person also has some to no skill level in flying a drone.”
Pilots with drones: Your drone must be synced to your controller and your drone is able to take flight before attending this class. If not, please consult your manual or contact www.TrcDjProductions.com to book an appointment to sync your controller or one on one classes. Make sure all updates are performed the day prior to this class.
Pilots without drones: Please come out, ask questions and watch the drones fly. You will be asked to stand in a safe area clear of Drone Flight Path (D.F.P.). Please feel free to ask questions and mingle prior and after class. We won’t you to get the most out of your class time so we want to concentrate on flight safety and flight operations during class.
All drones are welcomed, suggested: Inspire 1 & 2, Mavic 2, Phantom (any). To get the best knowledge out of your class, take notes, photos and filming is recommended.
Flight schedule: Will not exceed flight height reaching 100’. All drones will have V.L.O.S. of no more than 100’. The first drone lifts off N.L.T. 9:15 am. A sample flight route can or will be supplied on request.
We will meet at Trinity Park in Fort Worth at the North East last circle on River Drive. You can arrive there off of W. 7th Street and Stayton Street.
This class may be filmed, so please make sure you’re ok with that before attending.
Bring a happy face, the will to learn and to share knowledge. No vulgarity allowed. If any, you may be asked to leave and/or ejected from North Texas Drone User Group.
Let’s make this a safe and fun class for all.
