Brookhaven College is offering a 3-day continuing education workshop to help you learn about 2D and 3D data mapping from drone imagery. If you are looking for a career move that will include UAS you might want to check out GIS and Geospatial Technology. This might be the workshop for you.

Topics will include GIS and geospatial subjects such as: Overview of GIS Applications for Drones, Brief discussion of drone options; Introduction to Safety and Licensing, Aerial Surveying, Flight Planning, Flight Mission, Trial software setup for both AGOL (ArcGIS Online) and D2M (Drone 2 Map), and Processing Imagery into Information Products (meshes, point clouds, orthoimagery).

This is not a drone flying course although there will be actual drone flying to a limited extent. Our primary emphasis is that you understand the process of setting ground control points, capturing imagery and processing that imagery. (This is NOT the same course as the FAA Remote Pilot Cert. workshop.)

You can register either online, you can call in or can register in person at any of our Dallas County Community College District campuses.
