Texas Outdoor Family (Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept)
• What we'll do No Experience Necessary: Let TPWD show you how! Spending time outdoors is fun and easier than you think. Don’t have the gear? We do! Join TPWD for a fun filled weekend designed to help your family discover the joys of camping and Texas State Parks. All camping gear and equipment required for an overnight stay at the park is included with each reservation! Click for a list of activities offered and specific information for this workshop. TPWD will provide what you need for a fun camping experience in a Texas State Park. Starting at $85 for a one-night workshop, each family or group of up to six people gets a campsite with nearby restrooms and the use of equipment including: tent, cots for two adults, foam sleeping pads for children, lantern, camp stove, cooking pots/pans and utensils, and a coffee press. You will bring: bedding, personal items and food. We even provide camping recipes. Each workshop offers different activities. Your family could geocache (high-tech treasure hunt), kayak, fish, swim, rock climb, cook in a Dutch oven, go to a nature program, mountain bike, stargaze and more. Smell dinner roasting over the fire while a great-horned owl calls in the distance and your family laughs at silly campfire stories. Imagine yourself lying in a tent looking up at the stars after a day of playing outside. Our ancestors have camped for thousands of years. You can too! Choose a workshop and make your own adventure! What we're about

Public Group

This group is for those who love outdoor activities. Hiking, camping, backpacking, mountaineering, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, spelunking, walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, as well as other sports, are all activities that are possibilities for our calendar.

This group operates under a "members first" mentality and I hope that it grows into a great one. A Meetup Group is only as good as its members.

By joining North Texas Outdoors you are agreeing with our Liability Waver and all it's terms which can be found on our "pages" link on this website.
