This meetup starts on Friday evening on the Brazos River near the Lake Whitney dam, 80 miles south of Dallas.
We'll camp Friday night. Saturday, paddle the 8.4 mile stretch downriver, ending at Dick's Canoe Rental. Return to camp. Stay and camp Saturday night if you want to. Sunday: fishing or more canoeing/kayaking, etc.

Friday, Nov 8
5:00 PM. Meet at the Bosque Resort Restaurant & Bar (http://bosqueresort.com/). The camp site (managed by the Army Corps of Engineers) is within walking distance of the restaurant.
Saturday, Nov 9
AM. Two possibilities for canoeing and kayaking:
1) Bring your own boat and put in at the dam. Go downriver (8.4 mi) and finish at Dick's Canoe Rental. Dick's will transport boats back upriver.
2) If you don't own a boat, drive to Dick's Canoe Rental, rent one, have it brought upriver and then launch. Finish trip at Dick's place.

PM. Return to campground. Cook dinner at camp site or eat (and drink) at the nearby restaurant/bar & grill. Camp another night if you wish.
Sunday, Nov 10
AM. Canoe/kayak some more, or fish, or do something else. Leave anytime.

Dick's Canoe Location: "We are conveniently located on Hwy 2114 south of the Dallas, Fort Worth area. From Dallas go south on I 35-E to West, Texas and exit right on 2114. We are on the right immediately after crossing the Brazos River. (approximately 12 miles west of West)."
