Historic and beautiful, English Country dance can be elegant, flirtatious, or playful, depending on the music and the dance figures (and the dancers!). Learn more from the North Texas Traditional Dance Society on the 4th Saturday of each month, 8-11 pm. Our earliest dances were published in the 1650's. We also enjoy dances from the 18th and 19th centuries, including the Regency era of Jane Austen. In fact, dancers and musicians continue to compose lovely dances in this style even now. You do not need to bring a partner. Dance figures are easy to learn, especially if you can hear the phrases in a tune. If you enjoy social dancing in a friendly group setting, this is the dance for you! The hall has a wood floor, and the dances feature live music! Dancers are invited to bring a dance to lead.
