Historic and beautiful, English Country dance can be elegant, flirtatious, or playful, depending on the music and the dance figures (and the dancers!).

Our earliest dances were published in the 1650's. We also enjoy dances from the 18th and 19th centuries, including the Regency era of Jane Austen. In fact, dancers and musicians continue to compose lovely dances in this style even now.

Fun for ALL ages, including children. You do not need to bring a partner.

Dance figures are easy to learn, especially if you can hear the phrases in a tune.

If you enjoy social dancing in a friendly group setting, this is the dance for you!

The hall has a wood floor, and the dances feature live music!

We have been holding these dances since 1983, long before the internet. These dances are not specific for Meetup. We just use Meetup for one more method of publicity. Most dancers are not Meetup members. There will be many more people there than the Meetup RSVPs.

The First United Lutheran Church, 6202 Mockingbird Lane, is about 8 blocks east of Central Expressway, between Skillman and Abrams, on the South side of Mockingbird, across the street from Luby's. We're in the school building directly behind the sanctuary building.
