This group is for women of all ages who want to learn more about how simple changes in your diet and lifestyle can have such a positive ripple effect on how you feel in your every day life.
We will mainly be focusing on creating raw dishes (with small amounts of cooked) and the amazing rejuvenating effects that food can have on your body. We will also be learning how to incorporate mindfulness into our every day lives, in order to help keep you feeling centred, focussed, and relaxed so that you have a sense of calm about all the things that are put in your path.
The main areas which we will be focusing on are Vegan Raw Food, Anti ageing, Mindfulness and breast health.
First Group Session: Anti-ageing 5th August 2015
We will focus on creating raw meals choosing foods that contain a specific spectrum of nutrients that help our body combat oxidation - which is what ages our cells. We will also learn some mindfulness techniques in order to keep our body in a state of what we call 'rest and digest' which is when our nervous system is relaxed.
Second Group Session: Mindfulness 12th August 2015
We will be learning how to use mindfulness in your life in times of stress and anxiety in order to help manage those feelings in a healthier way. This will doing a guided meditation which will also incorporate some breathing exercises in order to teach us how to use our breath more effectively.
In this workshop we will create a raw food meal to go along with the theme of reducing stress.
Third Group Session: Love Your Breasts 19th August 2015
And Breast health - This is an important area for women of all ages and is a part of the body that is not often thought about or addressed when we think of doing healthy activities and when making food and lifestyle choices. This will be the third part of our three part series and we will be looking at specific foods that support a healthy oestrogen balance as well as teaching techniques of breast massage in order to increase circulation and help the body to remove toxins away from breast tissue.
The aim of joining the three group sessions is to get a deeper understanding of foods and its beneficial effects on your body and learning how to prepare some vegan raw food meals. Also learning stress management techniques. With this new found knowledge you can apply these new skills to your everyday life enabling you to cope more with the everyday stressors that you may face day to day and supporting your body through diet.
You can join any class you like although each class will be different from the other and you will learn different raw meals, which will include some simple tasty raw deserts - most of them containing cacao! You will also learn breathing techniques and mindfulness - which is a great stress management tool to have under your belt for when ever you may feel things getting on top of you.
The pricing for individual workshops in August will be £15 which covers all costs and includes a delicious raw vegan meal with desert.
Each workshop will run for approximately 2.5 hours.
