Weekly Sunday Afternoon Game Gathering

We are a group of people who like to get together on Thursday nights (6:00 at IHOP) and Sunday afternoons (1:00 - 6:00 at Madison Square mall) to socialize over board games. We play a wide variety of games (look at our games played discussions) so there is sure to be one that suits your tastes. Most games can be taught in about 5 minutes so everyone can join in the fun without feeling lost for long.

Come join us, you'll be glad you did. We meet at the eastern side of the food court. Southern entrance to the mall, next to Dillards, is the easiest way to the food court.

Unfortunately, most people do not RSVP so it is not a good indicator of the number of people who will actually show up at a meetup. Look at the past meetups for a better indicator of the number of people who will attend.

Craig, Gil, Helen, John, Lauren, Monty & Russell played King of Tokyo. Craig won by amassing 20 VPs. Craig, Gil & Monty then broke off to play Suburbia. Game requires planning to maximize points, as well as to deny your opponents the tiles they desire. Monty won by end game bonuses. Helen & Lauren joined for Tokaido. Gil was definitely the winner until Lauren’s 10 bonus VPs for most contributions to the temple was added. Then she was the definite winner, by 1 point. Helen left to join John & rest played Blue Moon City. Everyone was 1 turn away from winning, but it was Monty who scored the final game winning point. Gil kicked himself because he had enough crystals (20) to score the final two game winning obelisks on two consecutive turns, but he chose to go after 1 more crystal so he could build them on the same turn to finish with a flourish. At other tables, 1655-Habernus Papam, Battlecon: War of Indines, Hansa Teutonica, Magic the Gathering, Puerto Rico & St. Petersburg were played.
