We are going to attempt to turn a traditional holiday dinner into something a little bit more adventurous. Yep, we are going to take turkey, some fixin's, and pumpkin pie, then throw in some rock climbing, exploring, and a little Chasm of Dooming. Mix it up and voila' you have the first annual NCA JTree Turkey Day Extravaganza. Well, it probably won't be that awesome, but it should be pretty cool.
The plan is that Tom Horn will be leading the climbs and setting anchors for us. He is highly qualified and I trust him wholeheartedly. He is not doing this as a paid professional, but a donation of $100 per person (for equipment and stuff (wink) ) for all three days, if you plan on climbing, would be sufficient. We will also be checking out The Chasm of Doom (check out the video) at night, as well as exploring the rest of the park.
We have campsites reserved from the 22nd through the 25th. Carpooling is strongly encouraged since there are only 2 parking spots per site. We can also carpool from the entrance if needed.
*Note - If the event is full, rsvp anyway, since I will be opening up slots as climbers sign up.

The dinner will be pretty much pot luck and we will just wing it as best we can. I will share more details as the date gets closer. So, check it out, sign up, and I will see you out there!
P.S. Special thanks to Trisha for taking the lead, getting the campsites, and kicking my butt to get this going.
