Australia is in the midst of a technology boom but agriculture has (until recently) been largely ignored, with greater attention given to areas like fintech and healthtech. But the agtech industry is set to be worth $100 billion by 2030, mainly driven by needs for efficiency and diversification.
There are now accelerators and incubators popping up, investors are throwing money at startups promising to revolutionise farming and governments and corporates are taking action.
Sarah Nolet will help us sort the wheat from the chaff when it comes to what's working and what isn't in Australia's agtech landscape.
Sarah Nolet is a globally recognised food systems innovation expert. A systems thinker with an understanding of the complexities of the food system, Sarah brings a visionary yet pragmatic approach.
She believes there remains a disconnect between the agtech and agriculture industries and she's made it her personal mission to turn this around through founding her business AgThentic (www.agthentic.com) and through the tool she created with over 150 resources for foodtech and agtech startups (http://resources.agthentic.com).
Sarah holds a Masters in System Design and Management from MIT, a certificate in sustainability from the Sustainability Initiative at MIT Sloan, and a B.S. in Computer Science and Human Factors Engineering from Tufts University.
