Session 1: Discover Azure Bicep - The Next Evolution of ARM Templates
Azure Bicep is a new Domain-Specific Language (DSL) that enables you to simplify your resource deployment process on Azure.
In this presentation, Jack Lee (Microsoft MVP) will demonstrate how you can get started with Bicep and speed up your Azure infrastructure authoring process. For those who have been using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, you will also learn how you can upgrade your existing ARM templates to Bicep to improve modularity and code reuse.
Session 2: Going through Azure Certification - Panel Discussion
Meet a team of folks from all sorts of technical backgrounds trying to attain their certification. Ask questions, hear their story of success and failure and what they did to attain certification.

Jack Lee is a Microsoft MVP and a Senior Azure Certified Consultant with a passion for software development, cloud, and DevOps innovations. He is an active Microsoft tech community contributor and has presented at various user groups and conferences, including the Global Azure Bootcamp at Microsoft Canada. Jack is an experienced mentor and judge at hackathons and is also the president of the North Toronto Cloud & DevOps User Group. Anja Gusev is a software developer at RedBit Development, and former CTO of Spently, a Shopify app. She is based out of Toronto, Canada, where she spends her time thinking about software design, cloud architecture, devops, and product design. She considers herself to be a very curious person with an entreprenuerial spirit and finds satisfaction in helping others and building cool things that make an impact in people's lives. In 2021 Anja was selected as a Microsoft DevHero in 2021 for her work at RedBit on the Second Harvest Food Rescue project.
Yariel Sanchez is a Microsoft Certified Azure Solution Architect, Security Engineer and DevOps Engineer with a extensive track record of developing low latency and resilient applications for the Banking and Software Consultancy industries.
Currently working at RedBit Development as a Senior Developer where we develop custom end-to-end Cloud Solutions for clients in the nonprofit and for profit sectors.
Rinkesh Trivedi is a Microsoft Certified Professional and works at RedBit Development as a Software Developer. He has been working in IT since 2010. He loves everything about programming, be it frontend, backend or cloud and currently more focused on Cloud Computing and DevOps innovations with Microsoft Azure.
Marcelo Amador is a software developer at RedBitDev. His main roles are back-end using ASP.NET and Microsoft Azure and mobile development using Xamarin (future DotNet MAUI). He has been working with development for 23 years starting with Delphi 5 and MS Access database, moving to the .NET platform in 2003 working with Windows Desktop applications and ASP web forms, starting mobile dev with Windows Mobile 5.0 and later Android native and Xamarin.
Tony Wallace is a senior software developer at RedBit. He has many years of experience in native iOS, cross-platform mobile and full stack web development, but now specializes in front end web development.
