Native Plant walk on McConnell Foundation Churn Creek Propery

Explore another natural area of Redding with the California Native Plant Society on a fieldtrip to the McConnell Foundation's Churn Creek Preserve property. This will be an easy 2 1/2 mile native plant walk along the riparian area of Churn Creek. Walk leaders David Ledger and David Fritchle will identify native plants and grasses along new unpaved trails the McConnell Foundation has developed. A free list of native plants will be given to participants. Meet at the end of Tidmore Lane off College View Dr.

It was great seeing everyone. Great photos Denise, I will put the names of the plants up unless it sends an email to everyone. 15 people attended

This was my first meet up with this group. It was very informational and a beautiful walk. Very knowledgable guides.

It was nice to be guided through the new-to-me area by 3 experts, all outstanding (and walking) in their fields!

Yes Patricia, bring your friends, it is okay to leave the walk early if you want, but it won't be a fast walk.

Hi Davids! Out of town guests are interested in the walk, but have some mobility issues, like being about to walk the entire distance, or keep up. Could they leave early or walk slower than you may want to?
