This workshop is dedicated to adding as many tools to your writer's tool box to vastly and quickly improve your writing as possible. This group is for fiction writers who are dedicated to their craft and wish their work to be bought and read (whether you go self or trad publishing). There will be no discussion of grammar/spelling (that is for a professional copy editor) nor will we read aloud, sing Kumbya, or braid each others hair. What we will do is discuss in-depth the problem areas for most writers...passive voice, POV, stakes, Hero's arc, likability of your hero, etc. Not just the problems, but the solutions as well. If you are ready to roll up your sleeves and really dig into your craft, this is the workshop for you. The workshop is led by International Kindle Bestselling (currently #76 overall of KDP Select Amazon authors), Carolyn McCray with over 500,000 books sold and nearly 10,000 reviews, she knows a little something-something about what readers expect from a fiction writer. This workshop is geared toward intermediate to advanced writers. If you are new to your craft you might want to check out Carolyn's YouTube channel...So You Want to Write A Novel by Carolyn McCray (there are several, mine has a parchment background). This channel has a dozens of free tutorials that will get you started and in good shape. Once you get some pages under your belt, you can apply to come to the workshop.

Every workshop you will need to upload you file (usually the first 5 pages of your best work to start).

Please be sure to upload your file (look at main menu just under meetup group name. Main, members, sponsors etc. The last one on right is "more." Hit that and scroll down to "File" Hit that and you will go to the file section. There is an "upload" button. Simply upload your file.

Please do so by 9am Friday morning the week of the workshop. If we do not have a file from you by then, I will have to cancel your RSVP and change it to no.

This is a PARTICIPATORY workshop that requires you to upload work each session and read others as well.

So by Sunday morning all the files for the workshop should be uploaded so please check in the files section (the same place you uploaded to) for new files from the other members so you are ready for the workshop.

Great and thanks!
