This week we are very excited to have Mike give us an overview of the Wardley Mapping Canvas as well as an opportunity for you all to give one a go.
If you’ve ever had to make sense of a technological situation to discuss where to use Agile, discuss cultural fit or your strategic positioning in the market, Wardley Maps can help. Simon Wardley (@swardley) created these Maps as a way of visualising software and technology strategy while a CIO, and has developed them into a Creative Commons tool that is available to everyone.
There will be an introduction to the maps, and time to work on your own maps using the Wardley Mapping Canvas.
Mike is a Digital Information Model Developer at the University of Nottingham, creating visualisations that help the University understand itself “outside-in”. This understanding helps to guide the Digital Futures programme for teaching and research.
Free pizza and a beer or two will also be available.
N.B. Our lovely hosts at the Capital One Software Studio will pre-arrange access/passes for everyone coming, so be sure to RSVP!
For security reasons, we must have your full name so that you can gain access to the room. You will need some form of ID and your name will be matched to the list. Please update your profile with your full name if you are attending this event. About the Software Studio...
