The career of Dutch violin superstar André Rieu spans more than 30 years – he is not only a first-class entertainer, he is the “King of Waltz”. And he sure knows how to stage a grand show including romantic moments and witty twists. His orchestral tours draw more than 600,000 people per year, meaning that the charismatic entertainer outsells superstars like Bruno Mars, AC/DC and Rihanna in the Billboard’s Top 10. He has sold a massive 40 million CDs and DVDs and notched 30 Nr. 1 chart positions.
André Rieu ends his annual world tour traditionally with a UK and Ireland Arena Tour that leads his 2018 into nine cities coming to the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham Saturday 15 December 2018. He’ll bring romance and magic to every fan during the cozy pre-Christmas season and will play wonderful Christmas carols alongside his entertaining programme.

The ultimate Christmassy after work drinks...
We had such a fun event here last year, couldn't resist repeating it...
How about we start off with the ice bar at 5pm (1 hour slot) £13 this includes 2 drinks.
Ice skating at 6pm (45 min slot). £12 (Includes Skates)
Lockers - £2.00 (Cannot be pre-booked: Pay at the skate hire on a first come basis)
And then we can throw some shapes or chill out to the live entertainment at Sur La Piste, 7pm to 8.30 - Stav from 'The Money' soulful vocals accompanied by acoustic guitar loops and soaring guitar solos. Stav performs songs from Bill Withers to Kings of Leon.
The only other time options to fit both in around the live music, if 5pm is too early, would be ice skating at 6pm and the ice bar at 8.45pm, but I think the earlier option is better if you can make it!
There's all sorts of street food or we could grab a bit in Sur La Piste has food provided by Bar Iberico, yum!
And if you haven't done so already have a wander round the stalls.
PLEASE POST WHICH YOU CAN DO AT WHAT TIME AND AS LONG AS WE GET A GROUP INTERESTED, I'LL THEN POST BOOKING DETAILS.

This is one night not to be missed!
Come to the Dice Cup board game café to play some of their collection of over 500 games (see http://bit.ly/dicecupgames). Normally costing £5 to play, on Thursday evenings it's merely £1. Please pay it promptly at the café counter on arriving! If you have difficulty finding the group please ask the staff, as they know me and that Meetup groups attend on Thursday evenings.
These sessions are for people with different levels of familiarity with board games, but are particularly good for the less familiar as they get a chance to try many games they have not heard of. There is a variety of styles, ability levels, lengths of play time and numbers of players allowed. We often start and end on easy or ice-breaker games, including for many players, but many games have a player limit of 4 or 5 and so we often split into sub-groups for some of the evening. Do speak up if there are types of games you'd rather play or not play.
A few points:
* The café catering is entirely vegan
* We always play in the main area up the ramp, nearer the toilets than the end wall
* It's getting a bit nippy now as we head towards the winter, best bring coats and other layers
* The café staff are very friendly and helpful: they can advise you on games or help you find the group
* Can you please keep your RSVP up to date and change Yes to No if you're no longer coming, or leave a note if it's after the deadline. Arriving after 6 is fine but please leave a comment so we know when to expect you. All this gives us an idea of how many to expect when, so we can make good decisions about starting games! Thanks.
A great place to chill, listen to talented musical artistes enjoy a coffee or alcoholic drink and eat great food. I know because I've eaten all of the foods from different vendors and the most you'll pay for a MEAL is £3.50. The music is free. There are some interesting non food stalls. This event is heavily subsidised to encourage people to go and enjoy. Take advantage , support the event and enjoy it. If anyone who attends (via this meetup) can convince me that theyve not enjoyed (the event) I'll buy them a drink or food. The maarketplace is about 5 to 10mins walk from city centre.
