Public Lecture and Pub - Less Lethal Weapons

Part of the 'Science Public Lecture Series' hosted by the University of Nottingham's Physics and Astronomy Department.

Less Lethal Weapons
by David Wilkinson (IoP Regional Officer)

British police use several different “less-lethal” weapons. Have you ever wondered how they were chosen? Or what tests were done to look at their safety and effectiveness? From the everyday to the ridiculous, you can find out why some made the grade and others didn't and see pictures and video of the weapons in action.

B1, Physics Building, University Park, Nottingham (Near the QMC hospital)

No admission charge or booking required. Free onsite parking.

We will meet at 5.45 pm in the foyer and head up for 6pm. Following the lecture we can head to one of two places - the SU bar on campus or the Rose & Crown on Derby road. Please note the Rose & Crown operate pay and display parking, but the fee is refunded from any purchase

Hi, I'm really sorry for the last minute notice, but I'm not feeling well and will no longer be able to host tonight. If anyone else is able to step in, or could just look out for others in the foyer before the lecture, that would be great. Sorry for any inconvenience.
