Yey, it's Christmas Market and mulled wine time again! Nottingham Sociables visited the Christmas market last year and had a very nice time drinking mulled wine and cider and listening to cheesy Christmas music :-)
From the official website...
This year’s Christmas market with attractive bespoke Tudor style cabins now extends seamlessly from Long Row into the Market Square. There will be 50 fully booked trader cabins in total, dressed with garlands and lighting to create a unique and stunning visual.
You will find more traders than ever selling a wide range of quality crafts, gifts and food. With unique and handmade gifts on offer, there is plenty of choice for the discerning Nottingham shopper.
Why not relax awhile and take in the festive atmosphere while having a drink in one of TWO bars we are presenting at this year’s event.
We have an array of winter bars in the Market Square selling ales, wines, soft drinks and much more with a covered seating area offering great views of the ice rink and our new bandstand providing ad hoc entertainment.
On Long Row, we will be featuring our truly unique Helter Skelter Bar selling mulled wine, spiced cider and other hot toddies to keep you aglow as you take a break from your Christmas shopping. Covered areas will also available.

At the moment I plan to be by the main Christmas tree on Market Square at 2pm, but will check whether or not this is a good place to meet once the market opens later this month. I suggest that we go to one of the bars first for a warming mulled wine or hot chocolate, and then have a wander around the stalls. We can maybe head to a nearby bar or cafe later on to warm up!
