Dresden: Chicagoland

The group now finds itself fleeing the Great Chicago Fire on a train headed east. They have one of the Swords of the Cross, which was going to be handed over to the Summer Queen by the Red Wardens, a mysterious group with a nefarious goal. They are powering up one massive spell using thousands and thousands of human sacrifices over hundreds of years. Whatever this spell is, it is going to be BIG and BAD. But, unfortunately, the group is currently stuck in the 1870s. How will they get back to the present day? Time travel is forbidden by the White Council. Will they tarnish their spotless record? Or maybe there's another way....

Some really fun stuff going on. Everybody brought some good flavor to their characters. Nice to see a little bit more of the Dresdenverse, too.

We're better off spending 142 years in the Never-Never. I bet it wouldn't really take too long and we'd just have to dodge Queen Titania.

I found some (fan-made0 info on Autumn Magic (which they refer to as Diseelie) and I'm wondering if that would work better with Buddy than Summer Magic. Looking over last session the things I used it for would fit with the themes they list.

Here's the link to the super-short description:

No, that's fine. I realized that the Autumn Court is set up exactly like the Mafia: a group of individual families (or kingdoms) that all came together under the name Autumn Court in order to sign the Unseelie Accords. Some "families" might be spread out over more than one kingdom in the Never-Never, some might be more important (like the head of the 5 families or the "Godfather" in the Mafia). I always imagined that Lord Corrigan was one of the more important leaders, with a group of 6 or 7 other families behind him (they formed the tribunal in Buddy's trial). Some if the families might have different agendas or views (Lord Corrigan wants to protect the innocent and punish the wicked, but other leaders might kill to get what they want). Maybe there's a supreme leader somewhere that sits at the top of the (rather loose) hierarchy if the AC, but he/she doesn't necessarily set the agenda for the whole AC, just exercises a certain measure of control over the rest of the AC.

Wow, Meetup comments have a character limit. Who knew? Anyway, I'm almost finished. I also like the idea that someone online mentioned in regards to an Autumn or Spring Court, that the leader is male rather than female. Maybe It's Lord Oberon or Puck. It'd be cool to have both of them in the AC. Now I have to read the Tempest and a Midsummer Night's Dream.
