What novels have you enjoyed reading lately?

I am currently reading Pema Chodoron's "Start Where You Are," and John Irving's "Untill I find You." I am enjoying them both.

Please recommend a novel for our group to discuss. Why do you suggest this book?

Although it is gritty and wildly offensive at times, I find James Frey's first true forrray into fiction, "Bright Shiny Morning," to be enjoyalble enough to not put down and controvercial enough to provoke a great discussion.

What interests you about our group, and what do you hope it will become?

I just moved to Sonoma County and your book group seems like the coolest and closest.

Introduction

I truly enjoy a wide variety of types of fiction, but contemporary literature has to be my favorite. I have a degree in literature, which is good for one thing… discussing books at a lively local book group.
