What novels have you enjoyed reading lately?

One Day by David Nicholls Then Came You by Jennifer Weiner Outlander by Diana Gabaldon This Body of Death by Elizabeth George (and all her other books) Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly Mercy and Second Glance by Jodi Picoult (or everything else she's written) The Red Garden by Alice Hoffman (and all her other books) Juliet Naked by Nick Hornby The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield

Please recommend a novel for our group to discuss. Why do you suggest this book?

One Day by David Nicholls Movie out now, with screen play by David Nicholls but best if book read first. Fast fantastic read. The dialogue extraordinary - so funny. The art of letter writing reborn. Great characters and plot that keeps you up nights when you've work the next day.

What interests you about our group, and what do you hope it will become?

Like the books you've picked for past meetings. Would love to hear and participate in discussions about a book. Have never been in a book club before. Unfortunately, my daughter (who discovered your group on this website) has her birthday on the 25th so I'll be in SF with her. But I look forward to the meeting in October.

What Lynne W. is saying about this Meetup Group

Enjoyed my first book discussion immensely. What a varied and interesting group of readers. History of Love was made all the more fascinating hearing the myriad of interpretations and unraveling of the complex plot. Everyone was warm and welcoming. Will definitely return even if the meetings are 3 hours away!
