What novels have you enjoyed reading lately?

The Way We Live Now, Martin Chuzzlewit

Please recommend a novel for our group to discuss. Why do you suggest this book?

I'm interested in this group because I seldom read current fiction. I'll get back to you on this one.

What interests you about our group, and what do you hope it will become?

See above. I like that the group actually discusses the book. I belonged to another club in LA that was huge fun, lots of good wine and talk. But we seldom got to the book.

Retired newspaper reporter and sometimes author (Aces and Eights, Rancho Costa Nada) now living in Petaluma, mostly. I started my checkered career at the old San Francisco Examiner. LA Times was the top of the arc, the National Enquirer the nadir
