We saw one whale at the end of the trip. I was using a relatively
cheap[masked]mm lens that came with my camera so I didn't bother with
the monopod. For the next trip, I'm going to rent the[masked]mm that
I've used before and enjoyed.

The boat will have a lot of people on board so, if I was going to use
the monopod, I would stake out a good position on the rail and stay
there.
