What we're about

What we're about

Whether it's an earthquake, fires, forced evacuation, mud slides, demonstrations and riots, floods, hyperinflation induced damage to the financial system...we should all have a basic set of plans to cope with anticipated events. OCP offers the most extensive training curriculum of any of the city Emergency Groups and Meet Up groups. We are also the most organized and balanced emergency group in the Southland.

We have a formal, organized list of 18 skill sets. From Shelter, Food, Water, Fire and First Aid training. We have a minimum of one major monthly training session with a social, no host dinner so members can connect better. We also hold a secondary night which we call Discussion Night. It is an open forum, social night where we gather to discuss gear, common training questions, advice from members to each other plus so much more.

This group is dedicated to helping its members get to a multi month self-sufficiency. That includes water, sanitation, medical, food, cooking and security needs. It is designed to connect people who know how to prepare for various events in different ways so that any member can blend these ideas to suit the needs of themselves and their families. Anyone interested in camping, hiking, shooting, or storage would find common interests with those in the group.

We aren't a political group or a militia. We welcome all religious, social and political groups so long as you're interested in becoming properly prepared. We are focused on building communities based on trust, acceptance and mutual respect and expect all our members to adhere to these principles.

We expect that all our members will be focused on helping to build communities or mutual assistance groups (MAGs) that will be focused on helping each other in times of need.

Come visit us as a guest and make up your own mind as to the quality of our training and the quality of our members. All Top Notch!
