Maybe the meetings could start out with the less techy stuff (if any), have a break in the middle, and go more techy in hour 2. I like both even if some of it goes over my head -- good to know what things do even if I don't necessarily understand how to manipulate them.

Security is critical.... and my clients expect me to know how to protect the work I create for them. It might be painful and excruciating for some of us to learn how to read code, but learn it we must. I enjoyed the meeting very much and learned quite a bit. I appreciate how patient Steve and Brandon were with the (um) more challenged attendees.

I thought the meeting was great! My only comment would be for those of you at the top of the food chain is to stop apologizing for sharing your advanced information. We can always benefit from learning more—the alternative is unthinkable. Besides, when it gets techie those of us who aren't can participate and make the group better by asking good questions. It's awesome you give us lots of opportunities to do that.

I have started a discussion group where you can suggest and discuss topics for upcoming meetings:

Last night's meeting did get a bit technical, but there is no way around techy talk when we are discussing security. I know that some of you felt overwhelmed, but understanding these things in theory will help you to make more informed decisions about your website. Jeff wrote related blog post that might be of interest:

Sorry everything was so technical tonight. It's hard to gauge the audience knowledge level when putting together a presentation...

What's the best (easiest) way to back up a WP site before upgrading to WP 3.0?

Thanks for the reminder. Will do!

It looks like it is going to be a packed house again tomorrow night. Please bring extra folding chairs if you have them.

I will be interested for sure. Please let us know what works for now and what will work for v3.

    Brandon, that sounds perfect.

Awesome. I think Zengy gave us the green light to present, so let us know if anyone else has anything they'd like to know about.

That's something I'm definitely interested in learning more about.

Jeffrey (Zinn) and I were wondering if anyone is interested in having us give some tips on securing WordPress at the June meetup. It seems to come up in conversation quite a bit during our meetings. Thoughts?
