Hey, OC Android Developers,
Check out our new Jobs Offered & Wanted forum
where you can post & find & reply to jobs offered & wanted. We've got 2 new job-offered discussion posts today! - reply there. And insure you're subscribed in http:/ / (off by default).

LD6R2E: My plan for this job forum is rather than email out each job offered & wanted announcement, to instead put each on a discussion post where people can reply & ask question & possibly see status.

LD6R2N: But we have to fix 2 real problems with Meetup discussion posts:

  • LD6R3L: Meetup does a tragic job of alerting the general member of new discussion posts (because it doesn't automatically subscribe users to discussions). Consequently

    • LD6R6Q: organizers will need to periodically email out to members to check the forums, plus
    • LD6R7P: key forums can be listed on the home page and/or on event listings.

  • LD6R8M: Meetup discussion boards (indeed everything but the group home page & direct email to the list) tragically still can't take HTML as input (instead uses BBCode which is outdated) so rich formatted HTML has to be converted to BBCode. Some posts as this one use rich formatting (see the email out which is in HTML). Consequently,

    • LD6RC5: there are some automatic converters which may be helpful.
    • LD6RD6: I haven't seen an example where formatting is critical.
