App Showcase - Demos & Discussion

iOS Developers Meetup hosts our monthly App Showcase where members demo their apps.

Some of the most fun we've had as a group has been sharing our apps with each other.

If you want to get on the list to demo your app at a future event, please contact me (David Overfield).

6:30pm - Food and Networking

7pm - App Demos

8:30pm - Networking

Food and drinks are provided as well as seating for everyone to see the demos on the 70" big screen.

***** App Demos *****

There are 7 app demos  scheduled at this time.

***** Dinner *****

Food, drinks, and dessert will be provided like always.

There will be plenty of vegetarian options.

We are having Mediterranean food this month.

***** PREPAY *****

Please prepay with Square so check-in is quicker and we have an accurate count for food.

Square Payment Link

The $10 event fee covers: food, drinks, and facility.

***** Location *****

ROC Newport Airport - 5th Floor of Wells Fargo building

Once again ROC is hosting the event for us. Thanks Pat and Lauren.

***** Free Parking *****

Free parking after 6pm. Just enter the lot and park anywhere.

***** Elevator Locks at 7pm *****

The building elevator locks at 7pm. If you arrive after 7pm, you'll need to unlock it.

To gain access to the building after 7pm, press the 'start' button. The numbers will scramble. Locate '5' and press it four times. Then press the 'end' button which is the button in the lower right hand corner of the key pad. Then press the '5' button like you normally would to operate the elevator.

Special thanks to Amber & David for your dedication to this group. Seems like yesterday when you talked me into giving a demo in the tiny office space behind the airport and now look at the progress you both have made and the progress we have made! You have both left some rather large shoes to fill! Hope to see you again in the future back up in our 'ol stomping grounds too!

    Travel safe!

And congrats to all the presenters tonight! And thanks for the give-aways!

A huge thank-you goes to Boris for his dedication and support. He works hard in the background at every event to make sure everything goes smoothly. We couldn't have done it without him. I'm sure Boris, with help from other co-organizers, will continue to do a great job with this event even after David and I are gone.

Loved the app Boris wrote for us too :-) Thank you Boris!

We will also be giving away a few cool Orange T-Shirts from our sponsor - AirSquirrels, the developer of Reflector App. All attendees will get a special promo code. Most of us have already had this app. If not, you can create video demo of your apps, or your keynote presentations. BTW, this is an app to be installed on your Mac or PC and allow you to record your iPhone or iPad demo into HD videos. Developers, designers, publishers, build your Youtube channel in one day.

I'll be demoing TWO, count them (3) inventions/products. One is the VideoVisor which is an instant on/off Real EyeLevel viewfinder camera adapter for the iPhones. Lets you use it outdoors without screen washout. The other is the SteadySnake Neckpod for iPads allowing them to be used HANDS FREE for photography and Videography. NOTE -- I'LL BE RAFFLING 3 OR 5 VideoVisors. Will pass out FREE tickets after the demo for those interesting in testing/using the product.
