Reviewed 31 Jul 2014 PLR.
Because of the nature of our trips most times we have to put a limit on the number who can RSVP "yes." This is to keep the group manageable, safe and fun! If you rsvp yes, that means you plan to attend therefore taking up a spot that someone else could be occupying. If you make it a habit of backing out at the last minute or even worse, being a "No Show" you will be removed & banned from the group.
(Phil) We've had several incidents where a person has hiked "on out" on the last day, getting in their cars and just leaving the meetup. When this happens the trip organizer has no way of knowing if you made it out OK or you fell off the trail and are injured or were eaten by a bear. I understand it may be cold or raining or you're late for an appointment and don't care to wait on the group, so be polite and let someone know your intentions so we don't worry about you. Thanks.
Rescinded ban on allowing members to a "+1".
