OCG’s regular monthly gaming event takes place every 2nd Saturday of the month, noon – midnight. We are a novice friendly group that focuses on building friendships and connections through teaching games and encouraging interaction. Our goal is to build a friendly community to support local charities, while creating an awareness of how board games can bring people together.

The VFW Wixom continues to be the most highly requested venue for hosting Day of Games. There is a bar on site and food will be available for purchase at 3pm and 7pm. The site has a homey cabin like feel with wood paneled walls, round tables available for gaming, and enough area to take a break and socialize in between games.

According to Google Maps the VFW is exactly 9 minutes from the I-96/Wixom Road Exit. It is a simple drive north on Wixom Road to Loon Lake Road, then about 1/3 mile down on the north side - it is impossible to miss as it is a large white building that sits atop a very high hill. The parking lot is directly behind the building. Please enter via the Bar/Cantina entrance in back. Look for our Meetup Sign in the window to guide you to the entrance.

Bottled Spring Water/Soda/Flavored Water: $1.00; Beer/Cider: $2.00; Wine/Mixed Drinks: $3.00; Hot Dog Combo: $5-$7; Pizza: $5.00

Yes, you heard it! An added bonus of this venue is the availability of adult beverages if desired. (ID IS REQUIRED - 21 AND OVER) There is a bar on location stocked with beverages and snacks. Hot Dog Combos will be available for a late lunch at 3pm and pizza will be ordered mid-evening around 7pm.

When you arrive, be sure to sign in at the entry table, retrieve your name tag, and log your attendance. There will never be a cover charge or dues assigned for this community. All events and teaching services are provided and managed by volunteers. So please share any appreciation you have for OCG with anyone wearing a Green Nametag.

If you haven’t played board games in a while, there are so many new options available. OCG has designated Game Coordinators on hand to teach games for the first half of our Meetup starting at noon. Each Game Coordinator will assess the knowledge of their group and decide on a game that would be appropriate. Please look for anyone with a GREEN name badge to help facilitate your experience.
