• Global DevOps Bootcamp
Hi Everyone, The folks at DevOps User Group asked if we can put the word out about their free event. The organizers Frank Boucher and Wes Macdonald, whom I have had dealings with over the years are awesome. It should be a great camp and I encourage our members to signup. Please see the Eventbrite link at the end of the description. Global DevOps Bootcamp is a global event that will be held on Saturday June 16th and is all about DevOps on the Microsoft Stack. Centrally organized by Xpirit and Solidify and offered to you by this local partner. • OWSUG SEPTEMBER 13 MEETING-MS Visio
Hi Everyone, Welcome to a new year of presentations, learning, interesting conversations, networking and fun. The OWSUG Executive has planned out the fall series of presentations and we are excited to get started. We will try and change things up a bit as the year goes on to keep things interesting and also to increase the "learning" side of the presentations and events we are hosting. We are going to try and cover a range of IT PRO topics everything from operating systems, applications, Azure, Office 365 and more. So along with our monthly topics we will also try and incorporate a series of introductory and neat TIPS about Powershell. Powershell to most of us is still a dark art so we are going to shine some light on it this year. We are also looking into hosting a Study Group on MS Office 365. We are still arranging the details so more to come on this event. September Meeting: Topic: Microsoft Visio This session will provide an introduction to the world of Visio. It will be a basic overview of what Visio is and where it is going. This session is just a taste of what Visio can do. Future sessions will explore Visio features in detail. Data connectivity, shape creation and Data Graphics and the cloud. BIO: John is a Senior Consultant with many decades of experience working in IT. John is the original Visio MVP and has worked with the Visio team since 93, shortly after the product was released. This is his eighteenth year as a Microsoft MVP. John currently does freelance work with Visio world wide. Refreshments: Food and Beverages will be served on a first come basis. So please RSVP so we can have an idea on how much to order. Building Access: Our meetings will be held at the Micorosft Office in the World Exchange Building, so it is important to note that the "Elevators" are locked at 6:00 pm so please arrive before then.
