The original ideas behind this meetup were to provide a link for those who practice meditation into a wider community of mindful/conscious living, to be an extra means of keeping motivation up, and to deepen and develop learning.
But it's more than possible the focus may change, develop or become clearer over time as participants share their thoughts and feelings on what they would value most.
We are open to anyone, with or without experience - newcomers to meditation or the simply curious are fully welcome.
Examples of the types of activity discussed so far (we'd love to hear ideas for more) include:
• Following a guided meditation or mindful teaching on a theme in a group, followed by discussion
• A group silent/mindful walk, for instance around the beautiful Hambleton peninsula at Rutland Water
• When the group is better established, perhaps inviting local meditation teachers to run a session on a theme
