What we're about

Anyone who has wondered about the following questions will benefit from our meetup sessions:

What's the point of my life repeating the same activities day in, day out?
I feel lost. How can I find myself?
Why is it that my happiness in life never lasts?
I've done many kind acts but they all have backfired on me. What else should I do?
Is life a series of gains and then losses?
Why do we hear so many bad news? How to live a fulfilling life in spite of the negativity that surrounds us.

Buddhism is a practice and it is actually through practice that you learn how to empower yourself to lead a fulfilling life. It's OK if you're new to Buddhism. You can follow the talks. Once we build momentum, we can divide into two groups of beginning level and continuing level.

Join us for an informal introduction session and let's get to know each other.

If you have questions about how Buddhism helps with a particular situation in your daily life, feel free to send a message to me and I will
make sure to cover them one by one as we advance in our studies.

Our meetups are free to attend but we appreciate any amount of donation you can offer to help us sustain our activities of reaching out to various communities in the USA and building the foundation for peace, understanding, and fulfilling lives. In Buddhism, donations are not measured by the amount, but by your desire to contribute to a cause greater than ourselves.

If you agree to be in the pictures we take, you give us your consent to share photos on our meetup page. It might encourage others who are hesitant to join a social group and begin their spiritual journey. We appreciate your understanding. If for some reason, you do not wish your photos be taken, kindly step aside momentarily for our group photo to be taken.

No one needs to feel left out, fall into despair, or feel at a loss if there's any meaning to the repetition of our activities day in, day out. Buddha's guidance empowers us to see the light and go about our daily activities with more hope, confidence, and compassion for one and all (not only self-care, and not only caring for others. But caring for oneself as well as others at the same time).

On most Saturdays 3 PM to 4 PM, we offer online Dharma talks. Just ask me about how to join.

If you're interested in learning Buddhism, or Buddhism psychology and philosophy but have a schedule conflict, feel free to contact me at (424) 571-2023.

Also not mandatory, but I suggest the following book for our meetup studies if it's possible for you to get it: https://www.amazon.com/Plant-Seeds-Happiness-Flowers-Bloom/dp/0989847713

Also if you're new to Buddhism, it helps if you watch this video on Buddhism: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knnnnhSx2fg

Have a wonderful few weeks everyone until we meet.

Sincerely,

Bita and Yuichi Asakura
