We are a group of improvisers who are passionate about our love of improv theater. This group is open to people with all levels of experience, from those who may have always been curious and have never tried, to those that have been improvising for years. Our workshops will be a fun supportive environment for anyone wanting to explore improv theater and explore their personal sense of play!
This improv jam will be open to improvisers who have experience and are looking to do improv that is a bit more challenging. Improvisers will do plenty of scenes that focus on character and relationship as a warm up at the beginning of the jam before doing a group longform at the end of the jam. Michael Davenport will be hosting the jam. Cost is $10.
This is an ongoing class for those that have had an introduction to long-form improv and are ready to take their scenework skills to the next level. We warm up with improv games and group-mind exercises, then engage in specific scene types designed to strengthen your ability to perform in scenes with varying tempo, emotion and character.
This is an ongoing class for those that are experienced with long-form improv and are motivated to take their scenework skills to higher levels.
We focus on different improv skills over time, like getting into flow, practicing troupe thinking and support and playing the game of the scene. We also practice our usual exercises for helping us be more succinct and powerful.
