What we're about

This is a group for people interested in sewing. We get together monthly for meetings that aim to educate and inspire members about many aspects of sewing, including machine techniques. fabric, patterns, notions etc. While we concentrate on fashion sewing, some of our members enjoy quilting and home dec projects.

Although we don't always publicize our meetings on Meetup, we've been getting together for 6 years. We typically have 8-12 members at meetings, but are anxious to recruit new members, both experienced and novice sewers.

Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, September through to June, 6:30 to 9:30 pm.

There is an annual membership fee to cover the cost of renting our meeting room. This year the membership was $75. Guests can attend one meeting for free.

We meet at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community Center in Oakville.

If you need help or advice this is the place to come. We work together in a relaxing welcoming atmosphere (we're very nice😇) and chatting while working makes the evening just fly by. There is lots of inspiration and seeing the other projects fires up the imagination. Come out and join us, we'd love to see you there.
