Let’s Hack for Innovation in IoT! In Ocado we believe that innovation is what will make the world a better place. That’s why we are organizing a hackathon for people who want to make a difference. And because we know that innovation is expensive, we are willing to help.
Ocado will provide mentoring from our engineers and also hardware starter pack for each team with approved project. The starter pack will contain:
1. Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+
2. Starter Kit for Arduino UNO R3 with 37 different sensors
3. SANDISK ULTRA 32GB 80MB/S UHS-I CLASS 10 MICROSDHC CARD
4. 5MP Webcam Video 1080p 720p
5. Raspberry Pi 3 Power Charger Adapter 5V
After you present your project at the end of the event you are allowed to keep all of the hardware, so you and your team could continue working on the project. Still out of ideas? Don’t worry: https://www.hackster.io/projects/tags/internet+of+things - here is a set of ideas to help your brain generate a game changing project!
The only thing we expect from you is to open-source all the work you do on this hackathon under the MIT License. The duration of the hackathon will be 48 hours and it will take place at the Ocado Technology Sofia office (ul. „Henrik Ibsen“ 13, floor 7, 1407 Hladilnika, Sofia). So prepare your laptops, bring your friends (your team should be between 2 and 6 people) and let’s eat pizza and code together.
We start on[masked] (Friday) at 18:30 and end on[masked] (Sunday) at 20:00.
The most innovative teams will win the prizes:
1st place - 2000 BGN
2nd place - 1000 BGN
3th place - 500 BGN
