Hello swimmers.

I never actually swam with this group and never had a chance to meet Dave due to my very busy schedule, but it sounds like Dave did a really great job!  I did however, find time to swim in the ocean with another group.  Here is their meetup page:  http://www.meetup.com/South-Bay-Swim-Bike-and-Run-Club/.  This is a very small group that just started last summer.  It's basically just one guy who wanted to find people to swim with him at 6:00 AM on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.  I immediately signed up and swam with him very Tuesday and Thursday morning until it became too dark as we approached fall.  There were just a few other swimmers who occasionally showed up to swim.  We'd do just a half mile at Grand Avenue in el Segundo.  I'm hoping he wants to swim again this coming spring/summer.  So anyway, I thought I'd throw it out there for anyone who's interested.  If you have any questions, please check on the meetup site (link above).  It's always nice to have other swimmers with you if you're going to swim in the ocean.  I also hope someone takes over Dave's meetu group and if so, I'm hoping my schedule will allow for some swims with you guys.  :)

Sincerely,

Lorie

Whoever continues the group please keep us posted.
Sincerely.

Hello swimmers,
Over the years we have had a great group. A lot of people have used this group to learn to swim in the ocean. A lot have used it to train for their first or next triathlon. We have done a lot of great swims together and some interesting events (Our own Bayshore sprint triathlons, Dwight Crum Pier to Pier, etc). We have had a good time. That is why it is with regret that, for personal reasons, I will not be continuing with this group into the coming season.
This group is paid up until the end of Feb and around the middle of march you will see messages to anyone who wants to take over the group. If anyone wants to take this group over at that time, you have my blessing. You can turn this group into whatever you want it to be. You can continue with clinics, or just do swimming meetups. If you take the group it will be yours. I may continue being a member, but I will no longer lead the group. If no one takes it, then the group will disband after a certain amount of time.
I am letting you know now, about a month in advance so you have time to think about it.
It has been a great run and I appreciate everything you have all contributed to make this a successful group.
Thanks again,
Dave
