INTERVIEW
Oeno & Olio (O&O): What motivated you to start your website?

Wine with Paige (WWP): I come from a photography background and also have a degree in Digital Marketing. I'm incredibly passionate about wine - one day, it just "clicked" that all these interests and skills could work together to actually help people and make wine more fun and approachable. I love having the opportunity to help educate consumers about how to drink better wine and where to travel on their next wine adventure. Sharing the stories of incredible small winemakers through photography, social media, and writing has been really fun and fulfilling.

O&O: What's something unique about your background that gives your website a fresh perspective?

WWP: Only 14% of winemakers in California are women - I especially love having a platform where I can shine a spotlight on these incredible women and help share their stories. We need to stick together and support each other to help shape the industry into a place that's inclusive for people of all identities.

Also, coming from the world of fashion and photography, I love to create really unique stories in my photos. I recently launched a 52 weeks project where each week in 2022 I'll be creating a photo series inspired by a beautiful bottle of wine. You can follow along here!

O&O: How can members of Oeno & Olio get the most from your website?

WWP: I'm working on a series of travel guides for wine regions around the U.S. What many people don't realize is that wine is actually produced in all 50 states - so finding your new favorite small winery might be as easy as just driving around the corner! While I, of course, have guides for Napa and Sonoma, you can also find wine travel guides for states such as Arkansas, Connecticut, Texas, and more! Check out the U.S. Wine Guides here and plan your next wine tasting adventure.

O&O: Who is your target audience?

WWP: I'm a big believe that wine is an artisanal, agricultural, and artistic product that connects people. My target audience are wine lovers from all experience levels - newbies to advanced - who love to sit down with a great bottle of wine and learn the unique stories behind it.
